Preamble: Catholic institutions of higher education...are urged to provide Christian formation programs for educators who are evangelizers by call and covenant and mission. Only those who have been formed theologically and spiritually can respond adequately to the call of professional ministry in Christian education according to the vision of Jesus Christ and the Church.
The organization shall be known as the Association of Catholic Leadership Programs (ACLP).
The purpose of the organization is to:
Membership shall be composed of institutions which offer degree programs for Catholic school leaders, or which support the ACLP purposes.
At the session which meets during the annual NCEA convention, the members shall elect the Executive Committee. The committee shall consist of the following officers: president, vice president, past president, president elect (when the position is in effect), and secretary/treasurer.
The officers shall serve a term of three years with the exception of the past president, who is ex-officio and serves a two-year term. No more than two terms may expire any given year.
The organization shall meet twice annually.
This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of members present at the annual NCEA business meeting.
